Unitly is a unit converter that runs entirely on your device. It has no servers, no accounts and no analytics.
The controller responsible for data processing within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:

None. Unitly contains no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no crash reporting service and no tracking of any kind. The app does not request access to your contacts, photos, location, microphone, camera or any other protected resource. It contains no code that opens a network connection, so no data can leave your device through the app.

To make the app useful, Unitly saves the following locally, inside the app's private container on your device:
This information is never transmitted anywhere. It is removed when you delete the app. If you have iCloud Backup enabled, it may be included in your own device backup, which is controlled and encrypted by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. HBJ-Solutions has no access to your backups.
Because no personal data is processed by us, no legal basis under Art. 6 GDPR is required for data processing by the app itself. Local storage on your device is technically necessary to provide the functionality you requested.
Under the GDPR you have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object (Art. 21). Since we hold no data about you, there is in practice nothing for us to disclose, correct or delete. You can erase everything Unitly has stored at any time by deleting the app, or by using Settings → Reset All Settings and Settings → Clear History inside the app.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Rheinland-Pfalz.
Downloading Unitly and buying Unitly Pro happen through the App Store. In doing so, Apple processes data such as your Apple Account, payment details and download history as an independent controller. We receive no payment details and no personal data from Apple — only anonymous, aggregated sales figures and the technical confirmation that a purchase exists. Please refer to Apple's privacy policy for details.
Unitly is suitable for all ages and contains no user-generated content, no chat, no advertising and no external links to third-party content other than the legal pages referenced here. As it collects no data, it collects no data from children either.
If a future version of Unitly introduces a feature that requires data processing, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the change will be described in the app's release notes.
These terms govern your use of the iOS application "Unitly" provided by HBJ-Solutions GbR. In addition, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA) applies to the licensing of the app. Where the Apple EULA and these terms conflict, the Apple EULA prevails.
You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Unitly on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, in accordance with the App Store Terms of Service. You may not decompile, reverse-engineer, rent, lease, sell or redistribute the app, except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
Unitly's conversion factors are based on internationally recognised definitions (SI, the 1959 international yard and pound agreement, IEC binary prefixes and comparable standards) and are implemented with care. Nevertheless:
Always verify critical values against an authoritative source. To the extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for decisions made on the basis of a conversion result.
We are liable without limitation for damages arising from injury to life, body or health, for intent and gross negligence, and under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz). In the case of slight negligence, we are liable only for a breach of a material contractual obligation (an obligation whose fulfilment makes proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose observance you may regularly rely), and in that case only for foreseeable damage typical of this type of contract. Any further liability is excluded.
Unitly works fully offline, so its core functionality does not depend on any service operated by us. We do not guarantee that the app will be compatible with every future version of iOS, and we may discontinue development at any time. Purchases already made remain usable in accordance with Apple's terms.
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer with habitual residence in another EU member state, you additionally enjoy the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of that state.
Unitly Pro is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase for €2.99 (or the equivalent in your local App Store currency). It is not a subscription: nothing recurs and nothing renews. It unlocks unlimited favourites and history, advanced engineering and scientific units, clothing and shoe size converters, custom presets, batch conversion mode and decimal precision up to ten places.
The free version of Unitly remains fully functional for everyday conversions and is not time-limited.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase and is handled entirely by Apple. Because Unitly Pro is family-shareable, it can be shared with your Family Sharing group. You can restore a previous purchase at any time via Settings → Restore Purchases using the same Apple Account.
Requests for refunds are handled by Apple, not by us, via reportaproblem.apple.com. As a consumer in the EU you have a statutory right of withdrawal for digital content; note that this right expires once delivery of the digital content begins with your express consent, which occurs when the purchase is completed and the content is unlocked.
